STEVEN TYLER's '(It) Feels So Good' Video To Premiere On Next Week's 'American Idol'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler will premiere the video for his first-ever solo single, "(It) Feels So Good", on the May 12 episode of "American Idol". The clip was shot on April 25 with the Norwegian-born, Los Angeles-based director and photographer Ray Kay (real name: Reinert K. Olsen) and is described by an observer as "everything you would expect to get from a classic AEROSMITH video. Without giving too much away, think: pure, classic Steven Tyler in all of his rock star glory."

"I've always been a fan of AEROSMITH," Kay told VG Nett, "[so] I [was] really looking forward to working with [Steven].

He added, "This video will probably get extra attention in both the United States since it is [Tyler's] debut as a solo artist, and since he is a judge on 'American Idol', and the video will be premiered there."

Ray has previously created sleek cinematic music videos for music's biggest stars, such as BRITNEY SPEARS, LADY GAGA, JUSTIN BIEBER, BEYONCE, DIDDY and ENRIQUE IGLESIAS. His love of music combined with a strong sense of fashion and eye for beauty has earned him numerous video awards. He has been featured many times on MTV and BET's "Making The Video" shows. Ray is also a successful photographer, shooting editorials, advertising and album packaging in both Europe and the U.S.

Ray Kay's music video for JUSTIN BIEBER's "Baby" is currently the most viewed video ever, of any kind, on YouTube, with over 500 million views. All in all, his videos have been watched over 1 billion times on YouTube.

On May 3, Tyler will release his autobiography, "Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?" and it will be accompanied by "(It) Feels So Good". "I can hear it coming out of people's cars this summer," he told Rolling Stone magazine.

Catch the premiere of "It Feels So Good" on Ryan Seacrest's show May 9 and pick it up on iTunes the following day (May 10).

Steven Tyler's theme song to the live-action movie "Space Battleship Yamato", "Love Lives", was released in Japan last November. It was billed as Tyler's first solo project.

Tyler wrote the song for "Yamato" after studying a translated script and the video materials for the movie's final scene. The ballad expresses the concept of wanting to protect a loved one.
